Installed a UT-10 today and it's not quite working up to spec. Into a proper load I'm only getting 2 watts output max on FM. I get proper SSB deflection but with the peak reading wattmeter, rated to 1300mc, I also only get about 2 watts. There is no CW output at all. I can key the rig vox with the key, but no power out. I see there is a special keying circuit, different from what's used on 144 and 432, used with the UT-10 so figure the problem is in that circuit, but figured I'd ask here first if anyone has encountered a UT-10 that has worked on FM and SSB (although with low power output) but not worked on CW (no power out). Any ideas/suggestion are very much welcome!

hello, paul w2ec the ut-10 is said that would give maximum output 12watt, I'm trying to load a dummy that has a power consumption of about 10 amps at maximum output power. could be a problem to restore the paint to the on silicon transistor. see this link page.

unit is a very delicate I finished yesterday to take it apart and reassembling must be careful in the arrangement of the three modules if, rf power coupled together, in the final two transistors rf find a smaller one should be the pre-final stage power amplifier, check all before the service manual tS-790 where it is represented.

Thank you for the pointer to the repair information. Also I made a mistake reading my wattmeter, the output is 200mw, not 2 watts, I was looking at the wrong scale.
