VHFers,

I have, for sale, my TS-790A (SN 0090290) with UT10. I have recently replaced the three incandescent lamps with white, wide dispersion LED's. Today I verified power on all bands; 45 watts 2M, 40 watts 70CM, 10+ watts on 23CM. I have the hand microphone (Kenwood, Dynamic/600 ohm, Up Down Button - no Knwd number), PS-50 (20AMP) Kenwood Power Supply, LCU3-K Interface Cable (CAT/Serial) (W1GEE Products), the original Instruction Manual, The External Control Instruction Manual, and PS50 Instruction Manual, and the original TS-790A Box. A photo of the front panel has been posted in the Photos (see the white LEDS). The crossband repeat mod has been performed. There is only one subaudible tone module in the MAIN band (no subaudible tone module in SUB band). If you want additional photos, or
information, please ask. I am not technically the original owner - a friend bought it new when first released and owned it until he got home and his wife saw all his new toys :-) I added the UT10 later (my wife said OK).

I am asking $1350 for the radio, UT10, and PS-50 with all mentioned additional items.

If I get no takers for the ensemble by Sunday when I return from Austin (see below), I'll sell the UT10 for $800. Shipping will be calculated cheapest way (insured), or as specified by the end user. At this time, I am not entertaining shipping outside the 48 continental United States. I would prefer to hand deliver to the end buyer. I live in Houston, TX and will gladly drive this radio as far as 250 miles for gas (Honda, 39 MPG) to put it safely in your hands. I will insure it for full value but I will not take returns.

Perfered payment is Paypal but I will work with you. I am planning to be at Summerfest this weekend in Austin, TX (August 2/3) and, if not sold or committed by then, will have it with me. You can respond to me at the email in this post, or preferably, email my phone at n5em (at) hotmail (dot) com.

Thanks for reading. 73 and good DX.

Ed, N5EM

Hi Ed,
If you'd be so kind, please keep me updated on the progress of this
sale. I too have a fully loaded TS-790 and have been curious as to
the current value of it. Mine has the tone boards in both sides, plus
the voice module. I believe I gave ~$1200, shipped for mine 10+ years ago.
